The News of Friday, June 12, 2009 informed us that Pakistan Air Force hit a “suspected locations of Taliban Militants in the Orakzai tribal agency”. It further tells us that “Cleric among 33 was killed in these air strikes” The Pak army spokesman says they all were terrorists. The spokesman gives us the “news” that the Madrassah was used for planning to attack the Pakistani forces. In my words, the army has achieved a milestone by dismantling that “dangerous headquarter” of Militants.
The News reports that the Cleric Maulana Muhammad Amin was the chief of Sunni Supreme Council. The report by Rahimullah Yousafzai discloses that “Maulana Amin had reportedly close links with militants.” However, the later part of that news story shows that the sources for this claim were “military official”.
The news story read;
“Military officials said Maulana Amin had close links with the Taliban militants. An Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement issued here said 40 terrorists were present in the Madrassah during the attack. It said 13 of the terrorists died, which the local administration confirmed. The ISPR spokesman also denied bombing Madrassah and mosques and killing of innocent people. He said the places, which the warplanes pounded, were hideouts of the militants.”
Interestingly the ISPR spokesman, Major Gen Athar Abbas, later, repudiated his claim and said that the Madrassah was used as hideout by the militants.
Here arise some questions which we hope that our spokesmen of both PAK Army and JUI will answer. But before that we would like to share some information with you.
The news didn’t report that the cleric was not only a great scholar but strong opponent of the elements calling them Pakistani Taliban or Tehrek Taliban Pakistan. The sources, Military officials would obviously claim that the cleric attacked was a great monster, a terrorist and threat to the national security but in fact that was not the case. According to Daily Islam, Karachi Maulna was harsh critic of element attacking the Pakistani Forces. Presently he was working for the unity of Shiite and Muslim in the area where both are hostile toward each others.
In Fact Maulna Orakzai had been the Teacher of the most of the present day teachers in Jamia Benoria and Benoria Town, Karachi. The second thing that shouldn’t be let unmentioned is that the Madrassah was run by Maulana Mufti Deen Azgar, amir of JUI district Hungo. As a matter of Fact JUI is part of central government and had kept quiet over the killing of Maulana Muhammad Amin.
Here we ask;
- Why was he attacked if he was opponent of militants?
- If the forces had attacked Madrassah, why did the Spokeman claim they didn’t?
- Does the spokesman make fall statements?
- Why is JUI silent?
And Demand;
A high level commission comprises of ex-judges of Supreme Court and headed by Rana Bagwandas should be constituted to investigate this issue.

War is blind, it always gives the miseries. We don’t know the real situation of the area, it will disclose when war will over & Taliban will scattered for reorganization & IDPs will go back to their perished homes.
Its the same voice like USA who always kill terrorists in their every attack. Here the situation is same but spokesman is different. aaaah so sad & so bad.
